Saltwater Sports Car

Saltwater is more likely, as there is a new car on the horizon that is going to change your perceptions of sports and gasoline forever. The major push forward today is in regards to the Quant e-Sportlimousine which can go 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds. It’s environmentally friendly, and it is sleekly designed. You’re going to have a hard time believing this one, and most people will, but it premiered at the Geneva Motor Show in March and it’s incredible.

Saltwater Fuel

The saltwater in the ocean today could in fact fuel an electric motor. The water goes through the tank and creates an electrical charge powerful enough to create a serious push forward. This of course is done through a great deal of technology, but for those wondering, you will be able to utilize a 200-liter tank and get upwards of 373 miles. This of course is a huge jump forward in terms of automobiles, and something that most people don’t even realize is occurring right now in the automotive world. It’s something that will definitely be a game changer. The car resembles something out of a “James Bond” movie, rather than an average vehicle, and the doors open up like higher end sports models.

Certified and Ready for European Highways

Here’s the kicker, the technology has been certified and approved for European highways. Not only that, you’ll find that the asking price may be the one thing that is a draw back for some. Set to be priced over 1 million pounds, this is not a car for just anyone. It’s going to cause you to step back a bit to purchase it. However, if you have money to spend, and want to get away from gasoline, here is a stunner of a vehicle that is straight out of the pages of science fiction, and into reality.

The Quant e-Sportlimousine is definitely a head turner, and everyone that saw it at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show definitely was impressed. You’ll find that this may very well be the first of many revolutionary changes coming to motorsports, especially if it hits the consumer grade level.

Fernando Alonso to Extend Ferrari Stay

Fernando Alonso to Extend Ferrari Stay

Ferrari Driver, Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso first started racing go karts when he was three years old. The early start which is typical for many Formula 1 drivers is what you could say began his career as a driver, all the way to Ferrari.

Though Ferrari has had a rough year, Alonso has expressed interest in continuing his contract with Ferrari beyond the intended date of 2016.

Alonso began his Formula 1 career with Minardi, and moved on to race with Renault. For the more recent years, Alonso has switched back and forth between Renault and McLaren, before joining Ferrari.

McLaren is interested in having Alonso return to the team, however the driver says that talk of leaving Ferrari for another team has been the talk of others and has not ever come from him. The issue now, and perhaps where the talk has been coming from is that Ferrari has had difficulty building a car for Alonso which will allow him to be competitive with his rivals, the two from Mercedes who are currently well ahead for this season.

Regardless, Alonso explains that it is his wish to stay with Ferrari, and not to move on. He has confidence in the automaker’s ability to produce a competitive car, and is making his plans to stay with team red.

The fight to get onto the podium has been the goal of Ferrari this year. Alonso remarks that in previous years, the last five that he drove for Ferrari, this goal had had more of a fighting chance. This year, he admits, that the goal seems less certain.

In the eleven races that have passed this year, Ferrari has landed on the podium twice. The upcoming race this Sunday is in Ferrari’s home country of Italy, and the automaker still has its fingers crossed that they’ll be able to fight for podium standing.

Regardless of the team’s performance this year, Alonso’s dedication to his team and to his brand is inspiring, and shows that any talk of his bailing out is not fair to the work he’s putting in.
